We are very proud to recognize the 2nd recipient of the Stephen Swistak Memorial Endowment Scholarship (SSMES) at Michigan State University. Christian Krygier is a defenseman from Novi, Michigan. During his junior season, he earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten honors. He ranked second on the team with a career high 40 blocked shots. He was also an AHCA/Krampade Academic All-American Scholar. The Swistak family is excited to support him as he works toward his goals on and off the ice.

Recipient (2017-2020): Sam Saliba (#10)
We are very proud to recognize the first recipient of the Stephen Swistak Memorial Endowment Scholarship (SSMES) at Michigan State University. Sam Saliba was first awarded the inaugural SSMES during the 2017-18 school year. He was selected again in 2018-19 and 2019-20 due to continued excellence. A forward from Lincolnshire, Illinois, Sam earned his degree in accounting. Sam truly embodies an athlete with Steve’s drive, dedication & values. He was named Team Captain for the 2019-2020 season. The Swistak family wishes him the absolute best and was pleased to support him as he worked toward his goals in the classroom and on the ice.
